Kalinagar Mahavidyalaya

About the Department

History was introduced first in the General Stream of study in Kalinagar Mahavidyalaya in 1985 followed by its up gradation as Honours faculty in 2007. The intake capacity for Honours course is 58 students. The Department has four faculty members – One Associate professor, One Assistant Professor and Two Government approved Part-time Teachers.

Lectures are delivered to the students as per the guidelines and syllabus of the CBCS system introduced by the West Bengal State University in the form of class room teaching with audio-visual aids (Smart Classroom), study tours, debates, seminars (lecture by resource persons), Wall-magazines involving students enthusiastic participation.
