In 1985-86 the department of education was established to encourage the students especially backward and first generation learners. In the session 1996-97 education department introduced Honours course. Presently the department offers Under Graduate course for Honours and General streams. Students’ performance is evaluated by both internal and external forms of evaluation. Last Year University introduced new curriculum system that is CBCS system that Conducted by semester wise. There are two full time Assistant Professors and two Governments approved Part Time Teachers. All the Departmental faculties are very much aware of the stage of the students and always encourage them to be good and responsible human beings. Since Education is a multi disciplinary social science the department conducts faculty exchange program with other related disciplines.

2 . 4 honours student’s in the department admitted in 2018-19 session obtained 60% marks in CBCS semester 1 examination held on December, 2018.
